CNT star reporter IRIS INKSLINGER takes center stage in this creepy tale as she discovers an unnerving plot to take over 'The Big Lemon' by one of Skagg City's highest political officials. The current mayor of Skagg City, MICHAEL GLOOMINSTEEN, is very proud of his new 'PEAS IN A POD' school lunch program. Selling his latest 'health initiative' to the citizens of Skagg City as the best new lunch alternative for inner city youth, the Mayor has never felt more confident. However, when Gloominsteen’s former assistant MILEY BENNELL tries to assassinate him at a press conference, Iris learns the situation may not be what it seems.
As Inkslinger investigates, she learns that Bennell's paranoia may be more than just the delusions of a jilted lover, and finds that she may be in way over her head. So who can this award winning reporter turn to when being hunted by dangerous masses of mindless, screeching Skagg Citizens??? Well… CAPTAIN PUNISHMENT of course!
Once Skagg City's premiere super-action-hero joins the fray all hell breaks loose. Joined as always by his faithful sidekicks SPECIAL AGENT LARRY LARDMAN and super speedster SWIFT WINDTHROP, the Captain vows to get to the bottom of this latest Halloween crisis.
Throw in the 'acid stealing', super spy MICK FIERCE and his super secret W.E.I.R.D. hover base, mixed with CANDY WHOMPUS III a southern candy mogul and you have yourself a trick-or-treat spectacular. DEFIANCE IS FRUITLESS!
